Who is Lifestyle Medicine Coaching for?

It is for everyone since it isn’t focused on a single aspect of health, rather, it focuses on creating new habits with one’s diet, physical activity, sleep and other aspects of your well-being!

How is Lifestyle Medicine coaching different from Nutrition or other types of coaching?

It has a more holistic approach than focusing on nutrition alone that mainly addresses meal planning and healthy eating only.

What is the key differentiator that makes your coaching style attractive?

LM is based on changing your habits and behaviors vs. getting quick results in a few months. Many coaches will focus on quick results, which can certainly occur, but, sustainable change doesn’t happen over night just like careers don’t generally grow overnight. We take a step by step approach leveraging our talk about past habits and current health status to create the plan and tweak it along the journey.

How is success measured for the client (and the coach)?

Success is measured through quantitative data such bio-metric scores inclusive of weight, HR/BP, rest/sleep (quality hours) and your personal lab results compared to baseline results at the start of our journey together.

Do I integrate technology into our efforts together and if so, what?

Yes! I have partnered with a well known company called Trainerize that will track and trend your daily meals through MyFitnessPal and your activity along with bio-metric information from most smart watches/scales (ie Apple, Fitbit and Garmin).

Lastly, how do I stay up to date on the latest research and information related to Health and Lifestyle Medicine?

I am an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and attend or partake in several continued medical education (CME) events each year so I’m always staying on the cutting edge of new research!
